Nature perhaps demanded more from valiant men and so, the Rathore rulers of the former kingdom of Marwar emerged triumphat in the hazardous desert conditions, on account of their sheer hardiness. After the Muslim conquest of Kanauj in 12th century A.D. they migrated to the west.
