Maharani Bagh Orchard

Maharani Bagh is a delightful orchard retreat situated between Jodhpur, Udaipur and mount Abu. It is close to the famous Ranakpur temples and the imposing Kumbalgarh fort. The orchards, surrounded by the Aravalli hills were laid out in the late 19th century by the Maharani of Jodhpur and have always been a favourite holiday resort for the royal family. Roopangarh : Made in 1611 A.D. previously known as Kishangarh where the kings made their kingdom after many glorious battles and heroic sacrifices.

Roopangarh Fort

In 1649 A.D. they made it their seat and called Roopangarh. strategically located, on the main Moghul route - bordering the desert and the vast plains of Sambhar Lake - 'Roopangarh Fort' became the hub of activity. Within its nine turreted fortification were made foundries, armouries, granaries, underground passages jails and palaces. In 1997 A.D. the fort is opened for travellers by maharaja Brajraj Singh.
